Former president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi has visited Upper West Regional Regional Minister, Dr Hafiz Bin Salih on Friday.
The former FIFA Executive Council member has a long-standing relationship with the regional minister since they are both from the region.
Dr Salih offered words of encouragement to Mr Nyantakyi to have Faith in God in these trying times.
The former Wa All Stars bankroller has been banned from football by FIFA after the airing of the ‘Number 12’ video by investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas in June 2018.
The video exposed the rot in the country’s football.
The former CAF 1st vice president is currently challenging his ban at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).
He has remained calm over the past two-years as he awaits the long-winding legal process to clear his name.
Mr Nyantakyi is the first FA president to qualify the country to the World Cup in 2006.
Ghana subsequently qualified for 2010 and 2014 under his 13 years reign as FA president.
He also won the U-20 World Cup under his spell.
