V/R: Mama Hogbe, VOB donate food items to residents of Tregui.

Mama Hogbe foundation in collaboration with Voice of the Brains Group have supported the people of Tregui community with food items and hand washing materials.

The donation event took place on Monday, May 18, 2020, at Tregui in the Anloga District of the Volta region.

The Tregui community was hand-picked among the lot for the donation because of their numerous efforts in attending public talks held by one mental health nurse in the area, Mr Sorkpor Che Tsatsu.

The team which was led by the Chief Executive Officer of Voice of the Brains Group (VOBs), Mr Sorkpor Che Tsatsu and other group members donated 60 pieces of 5 kg rice, 1L of frytol oil, Sachet tomatoes, Spaghetti, Tin fish, 2 Veronica buckets, liquid soaps and hand towels.

In a short speech at the brief handing over ceremony, Mr Sorkpor Che Tsatsu, advised the town folks to take the World Health Organization’s (WHO) directives and protocols seriously and always wash their hands under running water and use alcohol-based hand sanitizers afterwards and frequently.

He also tasked individuals to wear their nose masks when moving out of home or stay indoors if they don’t have anything doing outside.

The CEO further cautioned folks to importantly adhere to the social distancing directives to help stem the further spread of COVID-19 in the country.

Speaking on behalf of the community, the Assemblyman for the area, Mr Abotsi Godson expressed his extreme gratitude saying the donated items will go a long way to ease the uprising tension about hunger in the area.

Mr. Abotsi also called on other Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to follow the exemplary life of their predecessors and also donate items to save lives.
